Who We Are

A community, a history, a charity.

The St. David's Islanders & Native Community is a Bermuda-registered charity dedicated to preserving and sharing the Indigenous heritage woven through the story of Bermuda's easternmost island.

About Us

A unique way of life on St. David's.

The people of St. David's have long been associated with a unique way of life. Although physically separated from the rest of the island, St. David's Islanders flourished in ship-making, farming, and piloting — making it an integral part of life in Bermuda.

It is a unique history that can be traced back to people brought to the island from various Native American Tribes.

The St. David's Islanders & Native Community honors deeply entrenched traditions, celebrates new connections, and invites you to #claimurheritage with us.

Our Mission
"To preserve, illustrate, exhibit and promote the unique heritage of St. David's Island, as well as the history of other native cultures in Bermuda."

We also work toward a lasting goal — a permanent space for a museum to house the historic items, records, and stories that belong to our organization and to the people of Bermuda.

Toward a Museum

Help us find a permanent home for our history.

A dedicated museum space would let us properly house artifacts, host school groups, and share the St. David's story with visitors year-round. Your support — as a donor, volunteer, partner or friend — brings that goal closer.
