Sgi'gee — Welcome

A gathering, 25 years in the making.

Join us as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the St. David's Islanders & Native Community.

For twenty-five years, this gathering has brought together families, community members, cultural performers, and visitors to honor the rich Indigenous and St. David's heritage that continues to shape Bermuda today.

We invite you to experience a weekend of tradition, music, dance, storytelling, friendship, and cultural pride.

A Bermuda-registered charity

"To preserve, illustrate, exhibit and promote the unique heritage of St. David's Island, as well as the history of other native cultures in Bermuda."

We also work toward a permanent museum for the historic items and stories that belong to our organization.

About SDI & NC

A living tradition on Bermuda's easternmost shore.

Rooted in the history of the St. David's Islanders — descendants of Native peoples brought to Bermuda centuries ago — the Powwow was founded to reconnect families with their Indigenous ancestry and to share that heritage with the wider community. Each year has grown the circle wider.

The 25th Anniversary is a milestone for our community and for Bermuda. We gather to remember, to teach, and to celebrate — with drum, dance, story, food, and the quiet dignity of tradition.
